فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ بِشَهِيدٍۢ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدًۭا
English Meaning
So how will it be when We bring a witness from every nation and bring you, O Prophet, as a witness over these people?
Urdu Meaning
پھر کیا حال ہوگا جب ہم ہر امت میں سے ایک گواہ لائیں گے اور اے نبی! آپ کو ان لوگوں پر گواہ بنا کر لائیں گے؟
Explanation
This verse reminds people of the Day of Judgment, when every nation will have a witness and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ will testify concerning his people. It emphasizes that people will ultimately be accountable for how they responded to Allah's guidance.
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَعَصَوُا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ ٱللَّهَ حَدِيثًۭا
English Meaning
On that Day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish that the earth could be leveled over them, and they will not be able to hide anything from Allah.
Urdu Meaning
اس دن وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور رسول کی نافرمانی کی، خواہش کریں گے کہ کاش زمین انہیں دبا کر برابر کر دی جائے، اور وہ اللہ سے کوئی بات چھپا نہ سکیں گے۔
Explanation
The verse describes the regret of those who rejected Allah's guidance and disobeyed His Messenger ﷺ. On the Day of Judgment, nothing can remain hidden from Allah.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَـٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا۟ مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِى سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌۭ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَـٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءًۭ فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًۭا طَيِّبًۭا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا
English Meaning
O believers, do not approach Prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying, nor while in a state requiring full purification, except when passing through, until you have bathed. If you are ill, traveling, have relieved yourselves, or had intimate contact with women and cannot find water, then perform tayammum with clean earth and wipe your faces and hands. Surely Allah is Ever-Pardoning, Most Forgiving.
Urdu Meaning
اے ایمان والو! جب تم نشے کی حالت میں ہو تو نماز کے قریب نہ جاؤ یہاں تک کہ تمہیں معلوم ہو کہ تم کیا کہہ رہے ہو، اور جنابت کی حالت میں بھی نہیں، یہاں تک کہ غسل کر لو، سوائے راستے سے گزرنے کے۔ اور اگر تم بیمار ہو یا سفر میں ہو یا تم میں سے کوئی قضائے حاجت سے آیا ہو یا تم نے عورتوں سے قربت کی ہو اور پانی نہ ملے تو پاک مٹی سے تیمم کرو اور اپنے چہروں اور ہاتھوں پر مسح کرو۔ بے شک اللہ بہت معاف کرنے والا، بخشنے والا ہے۔
Explanation
This verse teaches the importance of being conscious and purified when performing Salah. It also establishes tayammum as a concession when water is unavailable or certain circumstances prevent its use.
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ
English Meaning
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They choose misguidance and wish that you too would leave the right path.
Urdu Meaning
کیا آپ نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جنہیں کتاب کا ایک حصہ دیا گیا تھا؟ وہ گمراہی خریدتے ہیں اور چاہتے ہیں کہ تم بھی راستے سے بھٹک جاؤ۔
Explanation
The verse warns against knowingly choosing misguidance and attempting to lead others away from the truth.
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّۭا وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ نَصِيرًۭا
English Meaning
Allah knows your enemies best. Allah is sufficient as a Protector, and Allah is sufficient as a Helper.

اور اللہ تمہارے دشمنوں کو سب سے زیادہ جانتا ہے، اور اللہ ہی کافی ہے کارساز ہونے کے لیے اور اللہ ہی کافی ہے مددگار ہونے کے لیے۔
Explanation
Allah has complete knowledge of those who oppose or harm believers. Therefore, believers should place their ultimate trust in Allah, knowing that He is the best Protector and Helper.
مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍۢ وَرَٰعِنَا لَيًّۢا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًۭا فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ وَٱنظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًۭا لَّهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَـٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا
English Meaning
Among those who are Jewish are some who distort words from their proper meanings and use disrespectful expressions with their tongues as a form of mockery and criticism of the religion. Had they said, “We hear and we obey,” and asked respectfully for consideration, it would have been better and more upright for them. But because of their disbelief, Allah condemned them, so they believe only a little.

ان میں سے بعض جو یہودی ہیں، کلمات کو ان کے مقامات سے پھیر دیتے ہیں اور اپنی زبانوں کو مروڑ کر دین میں طعن کرتے ہیں۔ اگر وہ کہتے کہ ہم نے سنا اور اطاعت کی، اور توجہ فرمائیے اور ہماری طرف نظر کیجیے، تو یہ ان کے لیے بہتر اور زیادہ درست ہوتا۔ لیکن ان کے کفر کی وجہ سے اللہ نے ان پر لعنت کی، پس وہ بہت کم ایمان لاتے ہیں۔
Explanation
This verse condemns deliberate distortion, disrespect, and mockery of religious teachings. It also teaches believers the value of respectful speech and sincere obedience.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا مَعَكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوهًۭا فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِهَآ أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّآ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلسَّبْتِ ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ مَفْعُولًا
English Meaning
O People of the Scripture, believe in what We have revealed, confirming what you already have, before We erase features and turn them back, or condemn them as We condemned the people of the Sabbath. Allah's command is always carried out.
Urdu Meaning
اے اہلِ کتاب! اس کتاب پر ایمان لاؤ جو ہم نے نازل کی ہے اور جو اس کتاب کی تصدیق کرتی ہے جو تمہارے پاس ہے، اس سے پہلے کہ ہم چہروں کو بگاڑ کر انہیں پیچھے پھیر دیں یا ان پر اسی طرح لعنت کریں جیسے ہم نے ہفتے والوں پر لعنت کی تھی۔ اور اللہ کا حکم ہو کر رہتا ہے۔
Explanation
The verse calls the People of the Scripture to accept the revelation brought by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which confirms the truth that came before it.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱفْتَرَىٰٓ إِثْمًا عَظِيمًا
English Meaning
Surely Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives anything less than that for whom He wills. Whoever associates partners with Allah has committed a tremendous sin.
Urdu Meaning
بے شک اللہ اس بات کو نہیں بخشتا کہ اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک کیا جائے، اور اس کے علاوہ جسے چاہے بخش دیتا ہے۔ اور جو اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرائے تو اس نے بہت بڑا گناہ گھڑا۔
Explanation
This verse emphasizes the seriousness of shirk, associating partners with Allah. It also reminds believers that sins other than shirk remain subject to Allah's will and forgiveness.
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنفُسَهُم ۚ بَلِ ٱللَّهُ يُزَكِّى مَن يَشَآءُ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا
English Meaning
Have you not seen those who claim purity for themselves? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and no one will be wronged even by the slightest amount.
Urdu Meaning
کیا آپ نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جو اپنے آپ کو پاکیزہ قرار دیتے ہیں؟ بلکہ اللہ ہی جسے چاہتا ہے پاکیزگی عطا کرتا ہے، اور ان پر ذرہ برابر بھی ظلم نہیں کیا جائے گا۔
Explanation
Allah warns against self-righteousness and boasting about one's own purity. True spiritual purity is known to Allah, and every person will receive perfect justice.
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ ۖ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦٓ إِثْمًۭا مُّبِينًا
English Meaning
Look how they invent lies against Allah. That alone is a clear and serious sin.
Urdu Meaning
دیکھیے کہ یہ لوگ اللہ پر کیسے جھوٹ باندھتے ہیں، اور یہی کھلا ہوا گناہ ہونے کے لیے کافی ہے۔
Explanation
The verse condemns falsely attributing statements or beliefs to Allah. Speaking about Allah without truth or knowledge is a serious matter.
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَهْدَىٰ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ سَبِيلًا
English Meaning
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, yet believe in false objects of worship and false authorities, and say to the disbelievers that their way is more rightly guided than the way of the believers?
Urdu Meaning
کیا آپ نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جنہیں کتاب کا ایک حصہ دیا گیا، پھر بھی وہ باطل معبودوں اور باطل طاقتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں اور کافروں کے بارے میں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ لوگ ایمان والوں سے زیادہ سیدھے راستے پر ہیں؟
Explanation
This verse criticizes the contradiction of having knowledge of revelation while supporting falsehood and preferring it over faith.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَمَن يَلْعَنِ ٱللَّهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ نَصِيرًا
English Meaning
They are the ones whom Allah has condemned, and whoever Allah condemns will never find a helper.
Urdu Meaning
یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ نے لعنت کی، اور جس پر اللہ لعنت کرے، آپ اس کے لیے کوئی مددگار نہیں پائیں گے۔
Explanation
The verse emphasizes that no worldly power can protect a person from the consequences of rejecting Allah's guidance and choosing falsehood.
أَمْ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُلْكِ فَإِذًۭا لَّا يُؤْتُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ نَقِيرًا
English Meaning
Or do they have a share in the kingdom? If so, they would not give people even the smallest amount.
Urdu Meaning
کیا ان کے لیے سلطنت میں کوئی حصہ ہے؟ اگر ایسا ہوتا تو یہ لوگوں کو کھجور کی گٹھلی کے شگاف کے برابر بھی کچھ نہ دیتے۔
Explanation
The verse exposes human greed and reluctance to share blessings. Allah possesses complete authority and gives according to His wisdom.
أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۖ فَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ ءَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مُّلْكًا عَظِيمًۭا
English Meaning
Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them from His bounty? Indeed, We gave the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom, and We gave them great authority.
Urdu Meaning
کیا یہ لوگوں سے اس فضل پر حسد کرتے ہیں جو اللہ نے انہیں عطا کیا ہے؟ بے شک ہم نے آلِ ابراہیم کو کتاب اور حکمت عطا کی اور انہیں عظیم سلطنت بھی دی۔
Explanation
Allah condemns envy over His blessings. His favors are distributed according to His wisdom, and people should not resent others for what Allah has granted them.
فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ ءَامَنَ بِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن صَدَّ عَنْهُ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِجَهَنَّمَ سَعِيرًا
English Meaning
Some of them believed in it, while others turned away from it. And Hell is sufficient as a blazing fire.
Urdu Meaning
پھر ان میں سے کچھ لوگ اس پر ایمان لائے اور کچھ نے اس سے منہ موڑ لیا، اور جہنم کی بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ کافی ہے۔
Explanation
People respond differently to Allah's guidance. Some accept the truth while others reject it, and each person is responsible for their choice.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًۭا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَـٰهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًۭا
English Meaning
Surely those who reject Our signs will be admitted into the Fire. Whenever their skins are completely burned, We will replace them with other skins so they may continue to experience the punishment. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
Urdu Meaning
بے شک جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیات کا انکار کیا، ہم انہیں آگ میں داخل کریں گے۔ جب بھی ان کی کھالیں جل جائیں گی تو ہم انہیں دوسری کھالیں بدل دیں گے تاکہ وہ عذاب کا مزہ چکھیں۔ بے شک اللہ زبردست، حکمت والا ہے۔
Explanation
This powerful verse describes the severe punishment prepared for those who knowingly reject Allah's signs. It reminds humanity that the Hereafter is real and that Allah's judgment is perfect.
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۖ لَّهُمْ فِيهَآ أَزْوَٰجٌۭ مُّطَهَّرَةٌۭ ۖ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّۭا ظَلِيلًا
English Meaning
As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will remain forever. They will have purified spouses there, and We will admit them into refreshing, lasting shade.
Urdu Meaning
اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کیے، ہم انہیں ایسے باغات میں داخل کریں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی، وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔ ان کے لیے وہاں پاکیزہ بیویاں ہوں گی اور ہم انہیں گھنی چھاؤں میں داخل کریں گے۔
Explanation
After describing punishment, Allah describes the reward of believers who combine faith with righteous deeds. Paradise is presented as an everlasting place of peace, purity, comfort, and blessing.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تُؤَدُّوا۟ ٱلْأَمَـٰنَـٰتِ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُم بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ أَن تَحْكُمُوا۟ بِٱلْعَدْلِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُم بِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًۭا بَصِيرًۭا
English Meaning
Indeed, Allah commands you to return trusts to their rightful owners and, when you judge between people, to judge with justice. Excellent is what Allah instructs you with. Surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Urdu Meaning
بے شک اللہ تمہیں حکم دیتا ہے کہ امانتیں ان کے حقداروں تک پہنچاؤ، اور جب لوگوں کے درمیان فیصلہ کرو تو انصاف کے ساتھ فیصلہ کرو۔ بے شک اللہ تمہیں بہت بہترین نصیحت کرتا ہے۔ یقیناً اللہ سب کچھ سننے والا، سب کچھ دیکھنے والا ہے۔
Explanation
This verse establishes two major principles: fulfilling trusts and justice. These principles apply to personal responsibilities, business dealings, leadership, family matters, and judgments between people.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ ۖ فَإِن تَنَـٰزَعْتُمْ فِى شَىْءٍۢ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا
English Meaning
O believers, obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those entrusted with authority among you. If you disagree over anything, refer it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and leads to the best outcome.
Urdu Meaning
اے ایمان والو! اللہ کی اطاعت کرو، رسول کی اطاعت کرو اور اپنے میں سے اہلِ اختیار کی بھی۔ پھر اگر کسی معاملے میں اختلاف ہو جائے تو اسے اللہ اور رسول کی طرف لوٹاؤ، اگر تم اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہو۔ یہ بہتر ہے اور انجام کے اعتبار سے بھی اچھا ہے۔
Explanation
This verse establishes a clear order of obedience: Allah, His Messenger ﷺ, and legitimate authority within the community. When disagreements arise, believers must return to Allah's revelation and the guidance of His Messenger ﷺ.
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوٓا۟ أَن يَكْفُرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ وَيُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَن يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَـٰلًۭا بَعِيدًۭا
English Meaning
Have you not seen those who claim to believe in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you, yet they wish to seek judgment from false authorities, although they were commanded to reject them? Satan wants to lead them far astray.
Urdu Meaning
کیا آپ نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جو دعویٰ کرتے ہیں کہ وہ اس چیز پر ایمان لائے جو آپ کی طرف نازل کی گئی اور جو آپ سے پہلے نازل کی گئی، مگر وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اپنے فیصلے طاغوت کی طرف لے جائیں، حالانکہ انہیں حکم دیا گیا تھا کہ وہ اس کا انکار کریں۔ اور شیطان چاہتا ہے کہ انہیں بہت دور کی گمراہی میں لے جائے۔
Explanation
